What is Spinning?Spinning is an aerobic exercise that takes place on a specially designed stationary bicycle called, a spinning bike. As you pedal, motivating music plays and the instructor talks you through a visualization of an outdoor cycling workout.
During the class the pace is varied -- sometimes pedaling as fast as you can, other times cranking up the tension and pedaling slowly from a standing position. This helps you to focus inwardly and work on your mind as well as your body.
Krista teaches spinning, Monday's & Friday's @ 6:30 am, at Totum Life Science - the King Street location. Each class is 60-minutes long and includes a 5-minute warm-up, and 5-minute cool down complete with stretches.
Non-gym members are welcome to join class, for a drop-in fee.
